Jean Ngor Maack

- Avui

Opportunity is the LP produced by Fapman Records, World is the single that has radio and TV airplay, Fanatical Man, Mamboyo and Genealogic are singles that became hits some years ago.

Considered one of the maximum exponents of the “soul made in Africa” scene, he is generating great reviews and incredible popular acclaim in his home country, Senegal, with his latest album “Opportunity”, which is the complete fulfillment of his musical vision.

Rich in musical and lyrical depth, Jean Ngor Maack paints a fusion which includes the great variety of cultures which have experienced soul, jazz, pop and traditional African rhythms in a return to his roots, after triumphing in Europe over the last few years as a performer of soul music and jazz.
Ngor Maack is a committed musician and gives all his songs a clear intention to raise environmental and social awareness.

His career as an artist began when he was very young, when he set up a theatrical company in his village of birth. However it was to be in Paris, where he studied psychology at university, that the opportunity arose for him to devote himself professionally to music leading a band as a singer.

Produced by well-known record labels such as Warner Music and X-Energy, among others, he managed to achieve hits with the songs Fanatical Man and Mamaboyo.

On an international level, Ngor Maack has confirmed his talent sharing the stage with musicians such as Yossou Ndour, Salif Keita, Lucky Duby and Succhero, among others.
Currently, Jean Maack is combining his creative side as a composer with the management of his own record label, dedicated to the promotion of African musicians of great artistic and musical quality, but still unknown by a large part of the international audience.
