Hot Tamale and Cold Snap !

Cold Snap certainly made an impression on the crowd at the Clifton Hill Hotel on Saturday night when they were special guests at the Hot Tamale Babe CD Launch Party for Jeannie Lushes & the Blues Boys. Cold Snap kicked off the proceedings with their classic Chicago Blues Sound. Joe Valenti led his cast with his older vocal sound. However, with such tender years on his side there is only better things to come for these guys. Cold Snap would like to take this opportunity to thank Jeannie Lushes & the Blue Boys for letting us be part of their launch party. We all had a ball and wish them all the best with their CD sales.

"HOUSE OF LITTLE HEARD MUSIC"

Kaspar’s Danceathon - at Georges Blues Bar Ringwood

Kaspar’s Danceathon – Friday October 26th at Georges Blues Bar Ringwood. Raising funds for diasabled five year old Kaspar Merrill. With Lil’ Fi and The Gallery Of Enlightened Rogues, Jeannie Lushes and The Bad Boys of Blues, Synergy Blue plus The Black Hill Ramblers and special guest Stacey Broughton. Kaspar’s Danceathon – Friday October 26th at Georges Blues Bar Ringwood.

About Lil Fi
Lil' Fi is one of the original roots music performers on the festival circuit today. She is a dynamic entertainer with a unique songwriting style.

Soaring from folk blues to gospel, funk, R&B to field hollers (and rockabilly is never far away) she's a bit of a wild card with her all Australian character.

Nothing compares to the feel good energy of Lil' Fi. She genuinely believes in the healing power of music and this is very evident in all of Lil' Fi's shows.

About Jeannie Lushes and The Bad Boys of Blues
Jeannie Lushes.....Within the ordinary scope of expectations she exists almost wholly, but in the dim blue light...there is a sway of a hip...there is an elusive allure...and there is a voice as vibrant as dynamo and as subtle as smoke curling in a bar.

Lushes aquired an early love for gospel and blues music and so she put away the blue suede shoes and the birth of 'Blues' became. With the influences of the 'Antone Women', the formation of 'Jeannie Lushes & the Bad Blues Boys begun.

Jeannie is staffed by our city's best blues musicians. Guitarist Mark, (HARPO), Greenway, Electric/Double Bass, Glen Simkin, Drummer Ray Tully, Horn Section, Joe Greenway and Ron Fleckner.

On stage these six dynamics exudes qualities of cool reserve that is directly at odds with the torrid emotions they conjure up in a song, simply an elusive contradiction between blues, soul and rock. The one thing these six musicians have in common is a dedication to mastering their craft. Each is a singular talent!

"Saturday, November 3rd, Acheson Place, Coburg:-"

Saturday, November 3rd, Acheson Place, Coburg:-

Jeannie Lushes & The Bad Blues Boys, Prozac Choppers, Python choppers all made this event something special. The band was playing some awesome music and there was an abundance of great bikes on show.

This is an event that I will never miss. It places you right in the chopper element, it is a feeling of being part of a special movement, an artists movement, a brotherhood, where all seem to understand each other without any words being spoken.

A took the opportunity to snap some of the Prozac Chopper and Gotham City boys, all smiles.

Jeannie Lushes.....Within the ordinary scope of expectations she exists almost wholly, but in the dim blue light...there is a sway of a hip...there is an elusive allure...and there is a voice as vibrant as dynamo and as subtle as smoke curling in a bar. The formation of Jeannie Lushes,(Lubricators), was in 2000 as a 50's rockabilly band. For four years, Ms Lushes entertained patrons with this raw sound but was always itching to do what she loved most. Guitarist Mark, (HARPO), Greenway, Electric/Double Bass, Glenn Simkin, Drummer seat shared between Rob O'Toole, Ray Tully(Straight 8s) or Shane Antonie (Redliners), with Horn Section, Joe Greenway. On stage these six dynamics exudes qualities of cool reserve that is directly at odds with the torrid emotions they conjure up in a song, simply an elusive contradiction between blues, soul and rock. The one thing these six musicians have in common is a dedication to mastering their craft. Each is a singular talent!
