Bio

Jeannie Tanner is a multi-instrumentalist whose main talents lie in songwriting, trumpet playing, and vocal virtuosity. She performs jazz standards, original smooth jazz compositions, and jazzy blues. Jeannie has been an entertainer for the past 20 years. Her jazz quartet was featured during the Women in Jazz festival this past May at Pops for Champagne in Chicago, and she was part of the Chicago Jazz Tour this past September. Her quintet has opened for Kurt Elling at Park West and she has sung the National Anthem for the Cubs, Sox, and Bulls. Some of her original music can be heard on the PBS cooking show Culinary Travels with Dave Eckert, and she won the ASCAP Composers Award for several years running during the 90's. Jeannie's lateset album, "Those That Lie In Between" showcases Jeannie’s singing, songwriting and trumpet playing in the most groovy, hip, contemporary and accessible way to date.
