Jed

My name is Jed Sheldon and I formed this band last year. I grew up in Fargo, North Dakota and one morning while shoveling snow I decided to moved to San Diego in 1996.
I have released an album which can be heard on iTunes in the genre of Americana in 2007 (Jed Sheldon:Gravity) and I sold it at my acoustic performances. But I was personally not fulfilled with the sound of the album so I began soul searching and reworking my songs in conjunction with writing new material. I found myself mixing the elements of electronica with acoustic guitar and I liked the result much better. It was much more honest.

John and Sally quickly jumped on board after hearing my scratch tracks and we have been playing together ever since. We are a rare occurrence here in SoCal as many groups tend to gravitate toward Psuedo-Punk, Power-Pop, and Thrasher music. But I have found that people find our sound refreshing and cerebral as well as energized and fun.

My influences are the Postal Service, The Neptunes, Prince, Beck, Depeche Mode, Violent Femmes, Peter Gabriel, James Taylor and a variety of Electronic music.

Depending on the venue we can cover many different audiences from acoustic coffee shops and lounges, to raves and hip-hop arenas. We have also taken a list of requested cover tunes for planned events and performed them. We are versatile and honest.
