Jef is a Washington DC based singer-songwriter and producer. Heavily influenced by the sounds of Brit Pop groups such as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Oasis as well as the slew of melodic powerhouse groups of the 50's and 60's, Jef is on a mission to write songs that will not only draw in listeners, but also have them singing the same melody for days. DC's own Jef arrived with a trio and played his WLSC 2007 hit "Rosie." The rest of his material displayed his pop sensibilities song after song. It's no accident that Phil Galitzine (of the now-defunct Animators) is on bass; that pop group helped produce Jef's record and the two acts have similar, endearing styles. Good set!
