Need A Little Bit of Sunshine

Written By: Jeff Perigo

I need a little bit of sunshine, I need a little bit of sunshine, I need a little bit of sunshine in my day
Don’t you go and rain on me now don’t you go and rain, don’t you rain a drop now down on me
I’ve sailed the rapid rivers but I’ve never never sailed the stormy sea, I’ve sailed the rapid rivers but I’ve never never sailed the stormy sea

Don’t you go and dwell on it now don’t you dwell please, don’t you think about it one more day
The seasons are a changing and I’ve fallen to my knees, I will pay you back one sunny day
I’ve climbed the highest mountain but I’ve never ever sailed the stormy seas, I’ve climbed the highest mountain but I’ve never ever sailed the stormy seas

All of my life I’ve wondered what it’s like to be the jaded one, black sheep of my family
I sit there looking out of the window and I shout, get used to it, get used to it
I sit there in my chair and I stare and I stare, and I wonder why, nothing going on

One Finger Salute

One Finger Salute

I woke up bout’ 1 PM, you know my eyes are red, thinking bout the night before, I felt like I was dead, I’m such a mess
Lying on a hillside, looking at the sky. I count up all my earnings and then I ask him why, I’m such a mess

I’m such a mess

Got to use my mind, got to motivate, got to meet the man down there, hope he is not late, I’m such a mess
Got to meet the man down there, hope he hadn’t forgot, know he has a place for me in his parking lot, I’m such a mess

I’m such a mess

I remember the good old days when I was so smooth, now it seems that things are set up for me to lose, I’m such a mess
I’m looking for the man and I’m going to gun him down, hope he dies a hateful death take off his f#$*ing crown, now I’m a mess

Now I’m a mess

I saw the man over there I knew that he would shoot, I knew that I was out of range gave him a one finger salute, I’m such a mess
I saw the man over there I knew that he would shoot, I knew that I was out of range gave him a one finger salute, I’m such a mess

I’m such a mess (5x)
