"Tip - Dança - Jeff"

In his second album, the Rio de Janeiro’s artist impresses as a composer. Songs like "Ritual" and "Canção do Bem" reveal an author with inspiration above average. The refined treatment of the songs , with an emphasis on percussion (played by virtuosos like Robertinho Silva and Marcos Suzano) without loss of lightness, value the great crop of " Dança". - Mauro Ferreira - Jornal O Dia - Rio de Janeiro

"The drummer and percussionist Robertinho Silva celebrates seven decades with documentary , biography and three new records"

RIO - It began quietly. The boy bucked the ears, tuned:> ita ita <dancings Center and then went to Copacabana, the Eldorado of the musicians then.

- Sent to a jacket and went to the club. The teacher asked, "Can you play 'The Man with the Golden Arm' (classic theme of striptease)?". I said yes and started playing for a woman undressing. I thought, "Copacabana is it?"
It was more. In 1964, he was invited to play with Cauby Peixoto on the prestigious Nightclub Drink. With the start of the festival, I saw the neighbors TV, Robby had the confirmation of what he thought about his craft:

- Never wanted to be a percussionist. I wanted to be a musician. And I studied because it did not want to be humiliated in the studio by the guys that said drummer is not a musician, is leather batter. When I saw Airto Moreira (then in New Quartet) revolutionizing the percussion, I decided that my business was the art of drumming.

When the Canecão opened, it was part of the house band. Dali gained visibility, which led to invitations from musicians like Paulo Moura, Marcos Valle, Chico Buarque, Milton Nascimento and Egberto Gismonti, who worked for almost 30 years.

In 1969, with Miles Davis in the head ("He taught everybody to risk in the Dark") and contaminated by countercultural atmosphere of the Solar da Fossa (where he lived in Botafogo), Robby abandoned Canecão with nothing in sight. After a while, Milton made the call that would mark his career. I was riding Sound Imaginary, which premiered at the Teatro View next to the singer in April 1970, Friday of the Passion, and became the biggest sensation of Brazilian music that season.

- It was modern as hell, everyone wanted to see this show - remember, commenting that the band still had Wagner Tiso, Tavito, Luiz Alves, Frederyko and Zé Rodrix. - It was my first time out of the battery face. I had ear drum, gong.

Milton, he came to Wayne Shorter and Sarah Vaughan. The Realengo train journey followed outside Brazil, but also inside. He devoted himself to studying the national folklore and teaching percussion and drums in workshops and projects such as the successful Brazilian Drumming. Today reflects quiet.

- After 70, there are things you no longer do. I'm in terrible fight against cigarette - Account. - I've been the king of cervejota 24 hours in the air. Today I am old car, squeegee only Saturday and Sunday to show to friends. But I'm vain, do not let the man grab me. My ambition to grow on me canned music, percussion is a remedy - O Globo
