The best kept secret in music
Press
While listening to Jeff Briskin's "Lament," I realized that G. W. Bush's blood-soaked adventures in Iraq has failed to generate the flood of anti-war songs from the usual left-wing pop suspects. "Lament," a demo that deserves commercial consideration, begins to fill this void. Presumably told from the perspective of a soldier killed in action, the narrator confesses that if he had another chance, he wouldn't die in the name of Dubya's hopeless cause. A powerful, angry argument set against a pulsing rhythm track, this is powerful medicine for blue-staters. - Gary Demeo, Muzik Matterz
