"...Carl is in the midst of his own renaissance. Fresh off of a four-year hiatus and a recent move to Nashville, his latest output reflects his personal journey tackling the ups and downs of love and overcoming self-doubt in his creative pursuits. The stirring track revolves around Carl’s captivating falsetto as he begs the question, 'How can I survive / If I’m not alive?'" - No Country For New Nashville
"The release of Jeff Carl's second EP, 'Survive,' which dropped last month, marks a turning point for the artist. Over the six-track emotional diary, Carl's soaring falsetto and heart-on-his-sleeve vocals create a vibrant journey of highs and lows that pulls the listener into his world of hope, heartbreak and healing." - The Burg
"There’s something very special about music but especially when it stops you in your tracks or brings us together.
Jeff Carl is someone with a quiet depth though during our conversation it became abundantly clear that he’s got a lot to say. Maybe it’s the years he spent in waiting or the opportunity that challenged him to rise to the occasion—whatever the reason he’s an artist I look forward to hearing more from." - Never Say Die Media

Bio
Jeff Carl is a Nashville-based singer/songwriter who released his sophomore project, Survive, on May 24th, 2016, and a music video for the title track on July 7th. This EP is Jeff’s most artistically honest and heart-felt release to date. Diverse in its style, Jeff’s writing is united by dynamic vocals, a mesmerizing falsetto, timeless, piano-based melodies reminiscent of Harry Nilsson and Randy Newman, and a modern pop sensibility akin to artists like Chris Martin and John Legend.
“Survive” is a follow-up to “Here I’m Home” (2011), a 5-song EP which drew a cult following in Virginia. It captures the story of the past few years of hiatus, one of survival, not just over musical paralysis, self-doubt, and foggy living, but also over the peaks and valleys of first loves and what it means to be honest about the changing of the heart.
