Los Angeles native Jeff Clay describes himself as a "singer/songwriter/survivor."
Performing, touring and recording since the late 90's- Jeff has finally started to see the likes of big stages and is working with top producers, engineers and promoters who continue to help get his name out into the world. His perseverance, passion and determination have kept him standing tall through the tidal waves of the seemingly impossible world that is the music industry- putting him onto the radar of singer/songwriters to watch out for.
Best known for his late-night "street concerts" - you may have seen Jeff playing amplified around popular tourist areas in Los Angeles, Phoenix and Tucson, AZ. After putting on over 1000 shows on the street- he collected a modest fan-base around the world and was fortunate enough to play at such events as the Fiesta Bowl Block Party in Tempe, AZ last year - taking the main stage with The Gin Blossoms at one of the largest New Year's Eve parties in the world.
He was also a finalist in Alice Cooper's "Proof Is In The Pudding" talent search in 2010 and has played notable festivals such as Nevada Wild Fest (Las Vegas, 2012), The Tucson Spring Club Crawl (2011) and countless bars, clubs and coffeehouses around the world.
HIs 2011 debut album "A FIrst Time For Everything" was co-produced by Grammy award nominated engineer Rich Balmer (Kanye West's "The College Dropout") and Jeff is currently working on new material with acclaimed UK producer Mark Saunders. Saunders also has a Grammy nomination for his work with Shiny Toy Guns for their album "We Are Pilots" and has also worked on well-known music by The Cure, Neneh Cherry and The Sounds.
