The best kept secret in music
Press
"Jeff Coffey's "Say I" is a nice, refreshing blast of real music. Finally,
a record that's not heavy on samples or explicit lyrics, but provides a nice
balance to the Urban Heavy world of CHR."
- Rick Rizor
Coffey's music is a brand of alt-guitar-pop/rock that's built on extremely strong hooks and tight, catchy vocal choruses. Not content with that feat, Coffey tackles themes with his own slant. "Secret Love Affair" stands out as a unique take on a love triangle with a tragic non-resolution. Coffey has a knack for turning such things. Joe Smith's production is punchy and clean and the songs speak for themselves. Recommended. - Bryan Baker
Jeff Coffey could be considered the biggest local recording artist that many people have never heard of. - Michael Melchor

Bio
Former RCA recording artist Jeff Coffey has begun a solo venture that features his distinctively powerful voice, through soaring melodies and solid songwriting. The rich sounds of his music will undoubtedly find themselves right at home on the Pop and Rock airwaves. I dont want to sound like everybody else, and I certainly dont want every song I play to be more of the same thing. For me, the more curves there are on the road .. the more fun it is to drive.
Jeff has made a life of music, touring and performing with such artists as Hootie and the Blowfish, Edwin McCain, Sixpence None the Richer & Vertical Horizon just to name a few. Jeffs recording credits include working with such great producers as Keith Olsen (Fleetwood Mac, Whitesnake), John Kurzweg (Creed, Puddle of Mudd), Justin Niebank (John Mellencamp), and Stan Lynch (Don Henley).
Having recently completed tracks for a new CD at Transcontinental Studios in Orlando with successful producer Joe Smith, many of the songs have already found their way to other formats, such as MTVs Fraternity Life & Sorority Life. "Pop Goes the World" is prominently featured in the new independent movie Stealing God, Directed by Dave Swuz of Springfield Films. Also, "Write About Me" is featured in the new Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen video game Sweet 16 Licensed to Drive. In March of 2003, Jeff launched a major radio campaign with Protocol Entertainment. Say I has been well received by Program Directors nationally and is now on regular rotation on over 60 stations across the country with new adds every week.
With the new CD out and many packed shows at feature venues such as (Hard Rock Live, House of Blues) as well as SunFest 2003, Jeff Coffey has established himself as a prominent force in the local music scene. The undeniable heart-and-soul of this new up-and-coming artist is evermore present in his voice and he has set out to introduce himself and his music to the industry. I knew that I would never be happy doing anything else. Honestly, I plan to be making music until I physically cant anymore.
Jeff Coffey An artist not to be missed!
