Little Rock band Jeff Coleman and the Feeders announces the release of their first album as a band, AMERICANB, recorded at Wolfman Studios in Little Rock.
AMERICANB is not the first we’ve heard from lead vocalist and guitarist Jeff Coleman. Longtime veteran of the local music scene and former front man for Sweetland, Coleman released Done to Death in 2006, a compilation of two albums recorded with Sweetland, along with some solo work.
Joining Coleman are Mark Chiaro – guitar – from local bands Gas Can and Chupacabra, Jerry Cordova – bass – from Chupacabra, Chasing the Fall and Starkz. Filling out the rhythm section is Stan James on drums, a heavy hitter formerly with Cry Havoc.
While the overall sound of the album definitely falls in the ‘rock’ category, the 17 tracks range in style from folk/southern/country to progressive rock, with some songs even bordering on a punk/metal feel. Even broader in range is the subject matter, which ranges from songs about depression and longing, to the difficulty in seeing a girl in a dry county. There’s a song about a botched invasion of the United States and even a song about a flying dinosaur.

Jeff Coleman, lead singer, guitarist, and main songwriter, played with several traveling bands across the south in the early 1990's. Founded Sweetland and released 2 albums. Released "Done to Death" after Sweetland.
Mark Chiaro, lead guitarist, played in Atlanta for several years before moving back to Little Rock and joining Gas Can and Chupacabra.
Stan James, drummer, played with hard rock outfit, Cry Havoc on the Southern Club circuit.
Mike Nelson, bass, played with almost every band in Little Rock at one time or another, including the Gunbunnies, the Skeeterhawks, and Big Silver.
Jeff Coleman and the Feeders have become the band to see in Little Rock and amassed a fan base of the Southern Rock faithful. They have recently released their first album "AMERICANB."
