A couple of years ago when two of Jeff Conley’s ’60s Gibson guitars were stolen, the musician got creative. Using suitcases, antiques, and anything he could find, Conley built a suitcase guitar and a cigar-box mandolin which you can see when the award-winning Jeff Conley Band plays a combo of roots, rock, reggae, bluegrass, and folk. - Boston Globe

Three years ago, two 1960s Gibson guitars were stolen out of my car after a show. With a full schedule, I needed to continue playing, but could not afford to spend money or years looking for these vintage guitars again. With many old parts lying around at home, I decided to build instead of buy.
