"Jeff Luckadoo & Southern Wave Win"

Congratulations Jeff Luckadoo and Southern Wave, winners of Interstate 107's Texaco Country Showdown at USC - Lancaster Friday night! - 107.3 FM - Facebook

"Southern Wave wins Charlotte Country Music Showcase"

After their last tune was completed, the audience wouldn’t let them off the stage – demanding that Jeff sing his humorous song Speedo Toledo, which he humbly agreed to do. Taken as a whole this group wasn’t the most traditional country band of the night, but they were certainly the most entertaining and engaging of the evening. Congratulations to the members of Southern Wave!

Bio

As a singer/ songwriter, Jeff Luckadoo’s music can be best described as Country Americana steeped in southern experience. Whether it’s the passion of a coming home song like “Carolina Blue”, or the irreverent rocker like “My Redneck”, or a funny story song like “Speedo Toledo”, Jeff’s songs are full of imagery and emotion. Jeff was the recipient of the 2008 Regional Artist Grant awarded by the NC Arts and Science Council. From the Bojangles Arena in Charlotte, NC to the Bluebird in Nashville, TN, Jeff has had the privilege of playing and writing with hit writers and artists like Austin Roberts(Reba's "You Lie"). Some of his biggest thrills were opening for John Anderson at Bojangles Coliseum for the Charlotte Fire Fighters Benefit concert and winning the 2009 Charlotte Music Awards Country Artist of the Year. Jeff was a finalist at the Colgate Country Showdown. Being a racing fan, it was also an honor to play at the Bobby Allison tribute. He was also proud to perform and be apart of the USO's "Salute To The Troops." Influences range from Skynyrd to Steve Earl and Dillon to Daniels and Jones and Hank.
