A fresh sound built upon an acoustic guitar and vocal, complimented by catchy electric guitar melodies, all backed by a solid and creative rhythm section.

Biography

The Jeff Shephard Band first met in the summer of 2007. Singer/songwriter Jeff Shephard made a last-minute trip to Nashville, hoping to record a song with long-time friend and electric guitarist, Todd Cavato. Although The Castle, a local recording studio in Nashville, provided the pair an all day session, they still had one kink to work out: they had no band. A few phone calls later, combined with a stroke of mere chance, and the band members met for the first time. Bassist Tim James and drummer Steve Wolfe instantly meshed with the existing duo and brought life to the band’s first single, “Traffic Lights.”

After hearing the results of his session with this uniquely talented group of musicians, Jeff decided to move to Nashville in late 2007. Since then, the band has played a handful of live shows and has tracked four more songs that will debut on the band’s upcoming EP entitled “Hey, Hey.” Jeff Shephard Band’s repertoire already consists of eleven originals and an ever-growing list of cover songs. With the EP due out before summer, the band plans to continue playing shows, and to spend time writing for a future full-length album. Keep checking back for the latest updates.

Jeff Shephard studied at Rollins College in his hometown of Winter Park, FL and recently graduated with a degree in Music Performance in July 2007. Peachtree City, GA native, Todd Cavato, is currently enrolled in Belmont’s Music Business program and plans to graduate this summer. Todd and Jeff have played together for nearly nine years and are excited to take their music careers to the next level. Steve Wolfe claims Chicago, IL as his hometown and has over seventeen years of experience playing drums and percussion. Last but certainly not least, professional Tim James has been playing bass at gigs and studio sessions for over twenty years. Each member brings different styles and genres to the table to complete a melting pot of sound known as the Jeff Shephard Band.
