Jeff Shephard Band

eff Shephard Band first took shape in October of 2007 in Nashville, TN, when singer-songwriter Jeff Shephard and electric guitarist, Todd Cavato reunited to form a band. With nearly a decade worth of playing experience, it did not take long for the two friends and musicians to find a rhythm section, and thus “jsb” was born. The band joined forces with good friend Rich Ramsey, studio manager at Castle Recording Studios, and released an EP entitled “Caught by the Wave” in June of 2008. After playing shows at The Rutledge and a handful of other venues in Nashville, the band gained performing experience and audience exposure. As of late 2009, keyboardist Ryan Nichols became the newest member of Jeff Shephard Band. Now based in Atlanta, jsb is currently tracking their debut full length album scheduled to be released in late 2011. Stay tuned for the latest updates.

Jeff Shephard Band is comprised of educated and experienced musicians and performers. With ten years of song-writing experience, Jeff Shephard has a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Rollins College. Todd Cavato has been a guitarist for over fifteen years. He graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Business. At age seven, Ryan Nichols began ten years of classical training in piano, and has studied under several accomplished instructors, among them a Russian concert pianist in Europe. Overall, he has nearly twenty years of playing experience. The backbone of the band, drummer Steve Wolfe, studied music at Indiana University Bloomington and has over twenty years of playing experience, including countless studio sessions and live performances across the nation. Each member of the band brings a unique set of elements to the musical table--when blended together these sounds create the fresh and intriguing melodies known as jsb.
