Falling with You

Written By: Jeff Stepp

Sixteen candles burn so bright
Eighteen let you know
That twenty one are coming fast
Twenty-five, where'd they go?

Along the way you get your cake
Sometimes you eat it too
But mostly it's an empty plate
Of lovers you never knew

But something screams inside my head:

Someday a love will find you
But you'll be to scared too call
So don't let that foolishness fool you
Just give love and brace for the fall

Maybe you're right, maybe it's true
Who am I to know
I'm just a girl who's never seen
Life outside a picture show

A true romance, with poetry,
And chocolates by the fire
A fantasy, why can't it be
More than my desire?

Still something screams inside my head:

Someday a love will find you
But you'll be too scared to call
So don't let that foolishness fool you
Just give love and brace for the fall

Alright I've heard you
Enough of these mind games
Now won't you just leave me alone

I'm stubborn, don't fault me
It's how I was raised
An equal, empowered
A woman not slave

Now I watch those candles burn
And I cut into the cake
A woman still, with an open heart
And no longer afraid

Thanks mostly to the voice that said:

Someday a love will find you
But you'll be too scared to call
So don't let that foolishness fool you
Just give love and brace for the fall

Today your love has found me
With chocolates and poetry too
I know that I still risk falling
But at least I'll be falling with you

At least I'll be falling with you.

Hangover

Written By: Jeff Stepp and Bryan Terrell

Up and down this elevator with you
Here it goes again
I push your buttons
You push mine
And the door won't open or close

Up and down these bottles go from our lips
Then I'm kissing on you
You say you love me,
Yes it's true
But by the end of the night we're through

All through the week we just fuss and fight
But sat comes and I'm with you all night
This kinda love, it just can't be right
This love's like a hangover

Monday comes and Monday goes
I'm sitting here haven't changed my clothes
I woke up on a Wednesday night Where the hell did Tuesday go?
Thurs comes and you're calling me
You're the last person that I wanna hear or see
Friday shows that I'm not so strong I've been thirsting for you all day long

All through the week we just fuss and fight
But sat comes and I'm with you all night
This kinda love, it just can't be right
This love's like a hangover

Up and down this elevator with you
Here it goes again
I promise baby I am through
I'm getting off 'cause this is my floor

My mouth is moving but my feet stay still
I wanna go but I've lost the will
I'm drunk again sipping on your wine
I guess we'll try this one more time

All through the week we just fuss and fight
But sat comes and I'm with you all night
This kinda love, it just can't be right
This love's like a hangover
