"Ryan Bunch"

"Smooth and melodic, this EP secures Stewart as one of Toledo's premier singer/songwriters. The original material here has a quality that will ease your most tense moments and make you squeeze that girl at your side a little tighter. Produced by Gregg Leonard, the all acoustic tracks come out clean and match the mood of Stewart's songs. Recommended listening: cool night on the porch with wine and your significant other." - Toledo City Paper

"Michael Punsalan"

"Stewart's raspy and passionate vocals resemble Bono at the height of his U2 career, while many of his storytelling-style songs parallel Cat Stevens or Bob Dylan." - Toledo Free Press

"Rod Lockwood"

"Jeff Stewart's latest release is an unadorned, beautiful collection of songs. He has a great voice, a soulful instrument that oozes personality, and his song writing has a lively quality that's fresh and personal without ever copping out for easy cliches. This is the work of an artist who bears a bit of a sonic resemblance to Bruce Springsteen and he deserves a wider audience." - Toledo Blade

"Jeremy Searles"

" Jeff Stewart creates vibrant, intense and slightly unusual paintings. He brings those same qualities to 'Mix Tape Blues." His voice is a ballsier version of Ray Lamontagne's soulful drawl . . . on seven songs of love and life, which he views in a way that's nakedly open and as deep as the pit. The album closes on a high note with 'Say Goodnite.' Any song which includes the immortal line 'Searched for grace but I found you first' is worth the addmission price on its own, but the other six offerings here are well worthy of investigation also." - Americana UK

Bio

Meet Jeff Stewart, a professional singer/songwriter from Toledo, OH. Jeff supports himself playing approximately 220 gigs a year in NW Ohio/Southern Michigan. To quote Rod Lockwood from the Toledo Blade, ”He has a great voice, a soulful instrument that oozes personality, and his song writing has a lively quality that’s fresh and personal without ever copping out for easy clichés.”

"Mix Tape Blues" is Jeff’s first solo release. “Can’t Sit Still,” is being released to radio as a debut single. Previously, Jeff and producer Gregg Leonard have placed songs in four different movies.

An interesting aspect of Jeff is his dual career as a visual artist. His cover for "Mix Tape Blues" is a self-portrait inspired by the classic Miles Davis record, “Sketches of Spain.” In a special collaboration with SFC Graphics, a mulit-panel reproduction of Jeff's painting "Trees No. 1" was installed on the David Whitney Building in downtown Detroit, MI as part of the city's Super Bowl 2006 beautification campaign.
