Bob Dylan, Steve Goodman, John Prine, Arlo Guthrie, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Yes, C, S, N, & Y, James Taylor, Bob Marley, Grateful Dead, Chuck Berry, Tony Dorsey, Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald are a handful of the people who have influenced his music as well as various folk and bluegrass artist.
At the age of 20, he met Tim McConaughy and joined the bluegrass band Blackjack, which still plays an occasional gig today.
Throughout the 80’s and 90’s, If Jeff was playing solo, with Tim, or the band Blackjack, he played in just about every fair, festival, and club in the southeast Pennsylvania and south Jersey area including Chestnut Cabaret, Grape Street, Tin Angel, and Musikfest.
In 1993 with his Jeff’s band Darkhorse, he recorded his first CD, “Bright Lights.” The CD had some success getting air time on some 50 radio stations in 15 different states and a live show with Helen Lieght on WXPN in Philadelphia.
In 2000, Jeff recorded “2nd Day”. The CD. And Live from Harold's warehouse, with Balckjack the Bluegrass band
Continuing to perform and write, Jeff put out the cd “Shoot The Breeze,” in 2008
Jeff’s band had an appearance on the Gene Shay show on WXPN out of Philadelphia followed by a fine performance at Chaplin’s Music Café in Spring City
Between 2008 and 2022 Jeff has put out some 25 singles. all the music can be found on Spotify, Apple, YouTube, or any of the many outlets available today
During the Pandemic Jeff Played 52 weeks in a row Friday afternoon Live at 5 on Facebook and
still does them from time to time.
