Jellyroll

Band was formed in May of1992 with Brian Dantzler on Bass & Vocals, Glenn Simpson on Guitar & Vocals and Brooks R. Langkans on Drums & Vocals. Brooks left in December of 92 replaced on drums by James Alexander. Brooks returned in 93 on keyboards and percussion. James left in 96 after the cd "Life Circles" was recorded and Brooks returned to the Drums. Glenn left in 93 and Juan Hernandez joined as the Guitarist. Juan left in 96 and Brian brought on Fred Totten on keyboards and shortly after, Rob Lotta joined as the bands Guitarist. From that moment on, the band sustained a following and success in the New York State area and other eastern states. Just prior to disbanding in 2000, jellyroll had the interest of EMI UK records and other production companies in England. Unfortunately, due to matters beyond their control, jellyroll disbanded and went on to individually work with many other groups throughout the next 11 years. They stayed in touch, but not until recently had the opportunity to discuss a possible return. I am happy to say, jellyroll is now on track and ready to Funk you. In the near future, we will have brand new material posted for you to enjoy. Untill then, I hope you enjoy and support this band that can only be described as a local publication wrote... 

Ingredients:

2 Cups Funk
1 lb Jazz
2 Gallons Rock
1 part Fusion
3 oz. Soul
A dash of R&B

Directions: Place contents on any given stage, warm to croud temperature, then lwt jam for about two hours. The band's array of sounds and diverse style makes for a recognizable taste, but has a distinct recipe. Jellyroll's musical influences include Jimi Hendrix, Lenny Kravitz and Prince, but all of the band's songs are original.
