Bio

Jen Aldana was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. She started writing songs at the age of 12 and picked up the guitar at age 13. Her live performance is known for its tasteful and heartfelt singing, and leaving audiences inspired by her passionate songwriting. She is a recent Berklee College of Music graduate with a degree in Songwriting. If she isn’t writing songs for herself, she can be found co-writing with other artists and songwriters. Her debut EP “Voices” was released in February 2015, and was followed up by a feature as VENT’S Magazine’s “Top 10: Boston Bands”. Her single “Cherish You” was featured on Mix 104.1 as well as and in the short film "Monster" about the Boston Marathon in 2013. Some of her influences include: Sara Barielles, Noah Gundersen, Paramore, and Brooke Fraser.

Aside from music, Jen also has a passion for working with youth and being an advocate for self-expression through writing and the arts. As a musician and suicidal depression survivor, she sees her artistic platform as a way to inspire and encourage others to follow their dreams. Some of her accomplishments include: singing for world renowned bassist Victor Wooten, touring with American Idol winner Kris Allen, being a featured artist/speaker at the Apollo Theater in NYC, and opening for Angie Miller (Zealyn),  2013 American Idol finalist.
