"Helsingborgs Dagblad"

"The evening’s big attraction, however, is Elin’s backup singer, opening act Jen. The Stockholm girl is another contribution to the saturated singer/songwriter genre, but her strong voice and sensitive piano-playing are not a dime a dozen. Here, she is convincing, with a handful of songs from a fresh EP...” - Helsingborgs Dagblad

"Sundsvalls Dagblad"

”Today, Elin has taken on the role as producing guide to a young woman on her way up in her career. She calls herself Jen, and together with a guitarist and her younger sister on background vocals, she warms up the audience when Elin Sigvardsson visits Tonhallen in Sundsvall.
Not surprisingly, this is another laid-back and young female singer/songwriter. Jen moves with confidence between the piano and the guitar. Her voice is flawless and the song "Never were or will be" contains lines that bode well for her career. " Sundsvalls Dagblad

"Borlänge Tidning"

"...The supporting act consists of Jen, who’s also Elin’s background vocalist. She, too, is a contribution to the singer/songwriter genre, where she fits in splendidly.
On stage, she is accompanied by acoustic guitar and on some songs she plays the piano. The music is from her newly released EP and it feels honest and scaled back with laid-back verses and strong choruses. She reminds me a bit of American Jewel. "

"Gefle Dagblad"

"As a thrown-in surprise of an opening act for Elin Sigvardsson, her backup singer, Jen, takes the stage. A strong voice and charisma of a surprise, who will undoubtedly turn up again in the future.” - Gefle Dagblad

"Barometern"

”Jen, there’s a name to remember. Because with a newly released EP and a nationwide tour as supporting act to friend and colleague Elin Sigvardsson, it will be hard to avoid the praise surrounding her.." - Barometern

"Kuriren"

” The concert opened with backup vocalist Jen, who with a tender guitarist performed a few superbly elegant songs of high quality. She released an EP and as soon as she puts out a full-length album, Jen can surely be considered part of the collage of talented Swedish rock women that I mentioned at the beginning of this review and in whose company she, in my opinion, fits with great obviousness. Then, she can start going on tours of her own and we’ll surely have her back at Ebeneser sooner than we could imagine.
That’s actually how it felt, after having experienced Jen on Saturday night.” - Kuriren

Bio

Multi-talented singer/songwriter Jen, a proficient guitar and piano player with a voice that has been described as “flawless,” debuted in February of 2005 with the release of her “One-Way Dialogue EP,” a self-penned introduction to her music, produced by Swedish pop sensation Elin Ruth Sigvardsson.

Throughout the spring of ’05, Jen toured Sweden as Sigvardsson’s opening act, receiving rave reviews. Her hit single “Save Me” enjoyed heavy rotation on Radio Stockholm and has consistently ranked the best-selling song on music download website Mela.se.

Now she releases her debut album, “Before you knew me”, where the first two singles “Beating of my heart” –– a melodic, piano-based tune ––, and the uptempo pop/country song “Time to stop”, has gained airplay all over Sweden.

Jen, whose moniker is an acronym for her full name, Jenny Electra Nova, graduated in 2001 from the Stockholm Music Conservatory and promptly signed with Rodeo Records. After a few years with the label, Jen received the STIM songwriting scholarship and decided to leave Rodeo.
