Bio
Jeni Bartiromo is an LA-based standup comedian and former dancer originally from New Haven, CT. As a child, her parents only permitted her to watch G-rated Disney movies. Her father made one exception and introduced her to the standup comedy of George Carlin, because Dad considered him to be a real artist.
Jeni found her own way into entertainment through her love of theatre and dance. A classically trained actress and dancer, She had the privilege of studying at the Yale School of Drama while she was still in high school. She attended Emerson College, where she wrote for the school’s humor magazine, competed in ballroom dance, acted in over a dozen student films, and managed to graduated cum laude. After graduating she landed a job at New York City’s Fashion Week, and used the opportunity to co-create a comedic parody magazine of Women’s Wear Daily (like the Daily Variety, but for the fashion industry).
Since relocating to LA, she's been featured on A&E, Lifetime, the WE Channel and Tech TV. Jeni has performed on the stages of the Comedy Store, Improv, Ice House, Jon Lovtiz Comedy Club, Flapper’s Comedy Club, the Groundlings, Stella Alder Theatre, as well as Hollywood hot spots Whiskey-a-Go-Go, Knitting Factory and the Hard Rock Café.
Jeni's personal comedy heroes are Margaret Cho, Tracey Ullman, Sebastian Maniscalco and obviously, George Carlin.
