Bio
Jeniblue, or Jennifer Buttell, has been singing since she was 12 years old. “I use to put a rocking chair in the middle of the room, turn the stereo on, turn the lights off, and rock away.”
She would sing along with Diana Ross & the Supremes, Barbra Striesand, The Beatles, and John Denver. In school she performed with a harmony group and later performed in Musical Theatre Productions such as: CHICAGO, BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS, RED HOT AND COLE, SWEET CHARITY, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, and MY FAIR LADY.
Four years ago she began singing for rap artist, Blaize Man, recording jazzy background vocals on his projects. He would give her tracks and let her write her own lyrics. Soon she was inspired to write her own songs.
Her struggle with becoming a Christian prompted her to write songs for her own project. And years later, “Gotcha” was finished!
Jeniblue is a singer/songwriter with a wide vocal range and a unique sound. She has been compared to Melissa Etheridge, Bonnie Raitt, Karen Carpenter, and Abba.
Currently she is working with Gold & Platinum Record Producer, Barry Fasman, who has worked with many artists including Melissa Manchester, Air Supply, The Kids from Fame, and the Bay City Rollers.
“Gotcha” has been called, crossover Christian, it offers love and inspiration. The music is upbeat, thought provoking, and great driving music!
Next on her wish list is a bluesy/rock project with guitarist, Nick Brown.
