"Jen Jeniro - Single Review"

The theme tune to some forgotten Welsh language children's telly drama of the 1970's wherein a team of junior druids solve murders whilst riding a team of invisible dolphins. That's my guess, and I'm sticking to it. Absolutely brilliant, the end-of-summer sound of the place where Gorky's meet Giant Steps-era Boo Radleys. PJ - Buzz Magazine

"Jen Jeniro - Dolffin Pinc a Melyn / Hulusi Review"

Jen Jeniro’s psychedelic approach to pop-rock is an unrefined gem in the Welsh music scene’s tiara. With new single Dolphin Pinc A Melyn they underline their potency with melody, texture and technique. It is heavily indebted to our fine country’s tradition of off-kilter indie previously charted by SFA & Gorky’s but this doesn’t detract from its sheer quality. Indeed, it is a 5-minute wonder-horse of a track. However, the Llwybr Llaethog remix of Hulusi is, perhaps, even better. It’s like world music from another world blending beats and samples with low register vocals. Both of these tracks are very special indeed.

Bio

Jen Jeniro formed in the hills of Snowdonia in 2005 when soon-be-guitarist Gwion and soon-to-be frontman Eryl were forced into conversation during a tedious after-school job. Llyr Pari was added to the mix, plus some other delinquents who have long since left the band, and Jen Jeniro was born.

The following summer (2006), JJ released an E.P. called 'Tallahassee' independently, followed by the much improved 'Geleniaeth' L.P in mid 2008;

"A beautiful, beautiful record"- Adam Walton;
"A marvelous album that creeps under your skin..."- Huw Stevens.

Following an university-induced lazy and unproductive period, the 'Selar' magazine award-winning, and Radio Cymru Rock & Pop award-winning single 'Dolphin Pinc a Melyn' was released as a limited edition cassette.

"Absolutely brilliant. That end-of-summer sound of the place where Gorky's meets Giant Steps era Boo Radleys.5/5." Buzz Magazine.

Following sessions for Radio Wales, Radio Cymru and BBC 6 Music, a bi-lingual E.P named 'Swimming Limbs' has been recorded and is awaiting release...
