There are so many musicians out there trying to bring it all together and make a name for themselves. The days of waiting for a major label may just be over. Most, if not all of the fresh artisits coming up in today's scene are incredibly business savvy. Artists are learning fast that they don't need the big wigs at Sony to make a buck off of their music and gain public interest. One musician who is following her own path through the industry is Jen Ketrow, a New Jersey native who is studying song writing at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.
Jen is a self motivated woman with many great tunes under her belt. With songs like, "Until That Day," "Like You Do," and "Julie Andrews," she has started her own music publication company, Past Life Publications. Bio
Jen grew up poor in NJ, but could always afford to pay attention to music and the world around her as she learned to play kick-booty lead guitar and write catchy melodies for pop consumption. She's been a session guitarist for pop sensations, loaned her voice to electronic music ala, Ben Camp and has been lucky enough to make it this far to finally go out on tour with Itay Keren.....read about him here:
Itay Keren grew up OK I guess in Israel where he studied piano. After moving to the US at 14, he picked up the guitar and composed several metal influenced albums, started several metal bands, and performed in venues all over the East coast. Suddenly, he learned drums and became an all time master at those, too.
Together, Jen and Itay will make sweet delicious music for your heart and ears to enjoy.
