""WE'RE IN OUTER MYSPACE""

"In fact, Canadian musicians have already embraced the site.

Last summer Jenna Andrews was a struggling singer from Western Canada trying to develop her jazz/soul/bluegrass sound in Nashville. She set up a MySpace account, moved to Toronto and is now "solidly booked" and plans to release an album in the near future.

"Honestly, it's amazing. I have gotten so many gigs and contacts — legitimate contacts — just from people viewing my MySpace profile. I get gig offers almost every day."

Virtually all her musician friends use MySpace, she said.

Something else she's noticed lately: "If you're playing shows, people ask about your MySpace instead of your website.

"It's going to be huge here."

"Colin Linden Timeline/Fact Sheet"

Busiest year yet for CL as producer. Works on recordings for Annie Tate, 21-year old blues sensation Slick Ballinger, Jenna Andrews and Jessi Alexander, Janiva Magness and Roxanne Potvin, as well as new albums for long-time friends Colin James (Limelight) and Tom Wilson (Dog Years). “Southern Jumbo” is released to unanimously great reviews (they’re getting it!) and Colin tours concerts and festivals in both Canada & the US. Colin collaborates with friend and “O Brother” associate Chris Thomas King to write, record and perform “What Would Jesus Do?”- a song to benefit Hurricane Katrina victims....and at long last, Colin fufills his dream of a recording a country blues album-in his own fashion, of course. “Easin’ Back To Tennessee” is slated for a January 2006 release to coincide with his hosting of the 2006 Maple Blues Awards.

Bio

The musical story of this talented 21 year- old Calgary native began at the early age of six. Her musical interests were already rooted in Jazz and Classical, and throughout her development, she formed a style that, today, could best be described as a collection of Gershwin, Billy Holiday, Sade and Lauryn Hill. Vocal training, both private and institutional, along with Toronto Royal Conservatory piano lessons, helped to fashion this exceptionally proficient artist. Whether it was a local talent show, school performance, or musical number at the world famous Calgary Stampede, Jenna Andrews' musical abilities have always proven to be impressive, uniquely captivating and ultimately her eventual passport into the Canadian music industry.

In October 2003, at 19 years of age, Jenna landed the opening slot for Sony/BMG's Shawn Desman and Canadian R&B/Pop heavyweights "SKY" at MacEwen Hall in Calgary, Alberta. With her performance creating quite a stir in the local musical community and her name now abuzz within other circles of the country's entertainment establishment, it wasn't long before her musical gift caught the attention of, among others, Vancouver based musician, singer/songwriter and Juno award winning artist Chin Injeti (Bass is Base, Snow). Along with his offer to collaborate, and the opportunity to pursue her career full time in one of Canada's premier musical centres, Jenna agreed to uproot herself, away from family and friends, and move to Vancouver at the end of 2003. In an interview with the Alberta based magazine BEATROUTE, she discussed her decision in suspending her studies in broadcast/journalism at Mount Royal College in order to facilitate the move to the West coast. She states, "I went to college right after high school but I knew that I wasn't doing the right thing and that, at least for the time being, music is what I had to do. I moved to Vancouver to work with Chin. He helped me develop my craft."

Although the move was hard, both emotionally and financially, for the young singer, she persisted in immersing herself into the life of a full time musician, in an unfamiliar city. She began to study under vocal coach, Judith Rabinovitch, who is famous for her work with Sarah McLauclan, simultaneously; she worked on improving essential skills such as networking, marketing, promotion, and self-management. She also excelled in her abilities as a guitar player with lessons from local professionals. This combined with relentless practice only furthered the abilities of the blossoming performer.

All this coincided with the musical partnership she was building with collaborator, Chin Injeti. It was not long before the two had success as a writing team. The co-written song "Days Hours, Seconds" was placed on regular rotation for Vancouver's 104.9 Clear FM. The track incorporated the stylings of Jenna's jazz vocal roots with Chins' Pop/Electronica fusion.

While in Vancouver, Chin and Jenna entered into a production arrangement with Hipposonic Studios (Sarah McLauclan, KO-S, Boom Desjardins, and Bif Naked) in order to support her development as an artist and produce her first Album. In February 2005, the Andrews/Injeti team agreed to have Studio owner/Musician/Producer Robert Darch record and produce four songs in a stylistic direction different from that which the two had been previously exploring. Influenced by the magic of Aretha Franklin's 1968 live recording of "Without the One You Love," Jenna was recorded live off-the floor at the historical Mushroom Studios in Vancouver with local musicians that included Elliot Polski, Kevin Coles, A-train and Chris Gestrin. The title track "Lonely Girl" from this session became the current showcase song on the jennaandrewsmusic.com website and myspace.com/jennaandrews posting. It has drawn praise and recognition from all around the world.

Canadian Blues legend, Colin Linden (Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, Tom Wilson, Colin James, Oh Brother Where Art Thou?) was so impressed by the impact of Jenna’s performance that he agreed to produce three additional tracks in Nashville, Tennessee. The young Calgary artist now found herself tracking, and fitting right in, with some of the recording industries musical elite such as Tom Hambridge (Norah Jones) and Richard Bell (The Band, Janis Joplin).

During the months she spent in Vancouver writing and recording, Jenna has established herself as an accomplished live performer with a variety of local and national showcases. At a recent Toronto date, there were industry representatives from EMI records, Universal records, and Sony/BMG records. Also present were booking representatives from Paquin and Feldman agencies.

Furthermore, in the duration of her stay in Vancouver, Jenna established a popular live event showcase called, "Unplugged and Hungry" that took place at a variety of venues. Besides the live exposure she received, many established artists were attracted to perform at these events. She of
