Jenners Field Goes Bright
Posted by Models1's blog at 5:43 PM
Laurie Belgrave's band Jenners Field have started causing quite a stir. Laurie, who has modelled for the likes of GQ, Vogue, Daks and River Island, to name but a few, has started attracting quite a bit of attention on stage. And now renound Brit Band lover Christopher Bailey has spotted their talent, using "Camberwell Grove" as a backing track for 'Burberry Brights'. Watch this space... - Models 1

"JF Mention by Patrick Grant"

E Tautz

What excites you about menswear in 2011?
Patrick Grant: The return of London and Britain as a force in menswear. Bored of Italian stuff now.

What should we look out for in your collection?
The old gold pea coat has been a bit of a hit with those who've seen it. And I love the big lion polo neck.

What film has influenced your sense of style?
There have been loads - everything from Lawrence Of Arabia to Withnail & I - but Chariots Of Fire's utterly relaxed English sportswear is almost perfectly Tautz.

What music are you using for your show and which new bands do you like?
Not sure yet: we've a piano in the space so I might bash out "Chopsticks" while the boys walk. Sadly I've little time for new music, but Laurie, who models in our shows, is in a pretty cool band called Jenners Field. I heard a band called Morgan O'Kane at the Bedford Avenue subway in Brooklyn and they were cool too.

What's your style tip for summer?
Double-breasted jackets in textured linen, soft-collared shirts and bouclé silk ties. Keep it slouchy and pray for sun.

What do most men get wrong in their outfits?
They overcomplicate things, and wear denim.

What's your best tip for surviving London Fashion Week?
Only drink gin, cycle everywhere, eat plenty of fried food.

What was the last stylish thing you bought?
A hooded, floor-length, Yugoslav army poncho from 1985 in wool. Tatooine chic. - GQ

Bio

The South London four-piece Jenners Field, have recently gone back to the road after a period of committed song writing and recording. Their recent sold out headline shows and support slots have been causing quite a stir amongst a ravenous, buzzing crowd.
Jenner's Field take you on an epic, yet still intimate journey - one filled with peaks, valleys, and everything in between - a story to captivate even the most discerning audience. One can’t help but wonder how such a young group could be so gripping and insightful; a mere 21 marks the age of JFs’ eldest member.
Their intensity on stage is magnetic, as the audience is lured in by a performance that rages and soothes all in the same breath. Front man, Laurie Belgrave’s bravado immediately demands the attention of eager fans, with his trance-like vocals and rousing innuendo.
With an arsenal of thrilling new tracks produced and recorded under the eye of some of the industries greats, Jenners Field have created something many are calling "impossible to deny". They are beyond question an act you’ll be glad to say you saw first.

"Their sheer ability fills me with rage"
-Will Hodgkinson, The Observer

"Jenners Field play with an amazing energy and have a confident spirit of adventure in their arrangements that make them compelling to watch" -Peter Gordeno, Depeche Mode
