RECORDING
Over the course of 5 years, Alpert has independently released five albums and two live recordings to date. 'Pieces', Jenni Alpert's latest release, features an amazing cast of L.A.'s finest musicians, including Jimmy Paxson Jr. (drums: Stevie Nicks, Stanley Clark), Jimmy Messer (guitar: Kelly Clarkson), and Zac Rae (organ and synths: Alanis Morissette, Fiona Apple).
Recently Jenni has been working on a set of new recordings. The first of her songs were recently recorded at The Village in Los Angeles, featuring performances from session legends Russ Kunkel (drums), Viktor Krauss (bass), Matt Rollings (piano), and Dean Parks (guitar).
SONG PLACEMENTS
Her music was recently featured on TLC's new reality program "The Messengers" (aired July 2006 / Episode 1 (www.themessengers.com)
Also featured in many independent films shown at Sundance Film Festival, UCLA and USC. Airplay includes US college radio stations: WXPN (PA), WTMD (MD), WERS (MA) and KVRX (TX).

HISTORY
Being a graduate of UCLA's Ethnomusicology Department, Jenni was one of the first vocalists to complete the four-year jazz studies program headed by jazz giant Kenny Burrell which granted her the opportunity to study and perform with the likes of Herbie Hancock, Billy Higgins and Barbara Morrision.
As a self sustaining touring artist Jenni Alpert has performed all over the U.S. as well as internationally in:
