Jennie Willoughby has come a long way from writing about Florida roads at age 14, to writing about love and life in Nashville. Since moving to the Music City, Jennie’s music has evolved into something relatable to everyday normalcy. She is a self-proclaimed music nerd that grew up playing anything from classical piano to playing the flute in the Florida State marching band. In a town where people like to seem perfect, Jennie is fine with being a little quirky. She says, “I just think life is a little more interesting that way. Why walk when you can trip? Why laugh quietly when you can turn heads with a loud laugh? And why be ashamed to have a few, make that a lot, of freckles?�
She has a unique ability to put simple words and simple melodies together to create songs that just make sense to the listener. From writing about life, God, love, and beauty, she is merely just putting music to her journey.
