Jennie George

Jennie George found her passion for singing and creating harmonies as a little girl and began writing songs and playing the guitar at the age of 11. While thumbing through the record collections of her mom and older brother she honed her vocal and guitar style by listening and learning songs by artists like James Taylor, the Beatles, Joni Mitchell, her childhood idols the Go-Go’s and a heavy dose of rock artists like Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix. She played in various bands in Southern Connecticut and Massachusetts throughout high school and college and spent a year at Berklee College of Music in Boston where she continued to grow as a singer-songwriter-performer. She has spent the last 10 years playing in small bars & coffeehouses in the Northeast and she is now based in the New Haven, CT area. She continues to be inspired by artists like the Counting Crows, U2, and Sheryl Crow and has developed her own style of poppy acoustic rock that showcases her powerful vocals.
