Beautiful Life

Written By: Jennifer Appelquist

He liked to speak about the beautiful things, with poets wings he would fly.

She liked to dance beneath him and sing about the beautiful things in her eyes,
and they would laugh aloud together and dance around in fields of their own sweet design

and it's hard to imagine that anything could happen to change the face of their beautiful life.

Chorus:
He said, don't take from me this beautiful life, it's been the best daydream of mine,
and I haven't let go of those things that still make me smile,
oh, what a beautiful life.

She left this world like a butterfuly girl, in search of colors divine and he looked for her in everything pure and when shades of red filled the sky, he'd think that's her way of saying "hey babe, I miss you up here tonight"

But don't you worry about a thing girl 'cause nothing has changed except babe, I'll be dancing beneath you tonight,

Chorus:
He said, don't take from me this beautiful life, it's been the best daydream of mine,
and I haven't let go of those things that still make me smile,
oh, what a beautiful life.

He said, don't take from me this beautiful life, it's been the best daydream of mine,
and I haven't let go of those things that still make me smile,
oh, what a beautiful life.

what a beautiful wife.

Love Like That

Written By: Jennifer Appelquist

She said, "I'll wait right here" as the rain poured down, "I'm pretty sure he'll be comin' around to get me, he never forgets me."

I offered her one last time to take a ride but she stood there smiling beneath the dim street lights and I drove away, feeling kind of empty.

And then the radio played, that song I love to hate, and I found myself looking back to see her face.

I want to feel love like that,
feel the rain running down my back,
waiting for a man I know
who'll always be coming to take me home,

I want to feel trust like that and know there's no need for looking back, cause she'll always feel safe in his warm embrace, nothing's gonna change

I want to feel love like that

He said "I hate to leave her when she looks so sad, her pretty eyes and her hair pulled back, and it kills me, when she says she misses me"

And I asked him how hard it was to take the time to let her know she means that much to his life, he said "it's easy, when you love someone completely."

And then he thanked me for the ride, and said "It's time to see my baby smile"

And as I drove away, I looked back to see his face.

I want to feel love like that,
feel the rain running down my back
waiting for a man I know
who'll always be coming to take me home,

I want to feel trust like that and know there's no need for looking back, cause she'll always feel safe in his warm embrace, nothing's gonna change

I want to feel love like that
