My name is Jennifer Nicole Gunter and I got my first opportunity to sing on a stage when I was just 12 years old. I was picked for a contest at Cowboy's Redriver in Dallas, Texas. That night, I had the opportunity to perform with Junior Knight, former steel guitar player to LeAnn Rimes, and who also happens to be a close family friend. Breaking the microphone out of nervousness could have been the reason I didn't win that contest! From then on I started singing every chance I had.

My next big chance was when I was 16. I was invited to sing at award winning Johnnie High's Country Music Revue in Arlington, Texas. I have performed there from then until now a few times each year. These performances have included being on their television special and in their Christmas show.

While attending Texas Lutheran University from '04-'08, I took several music courses, including music theory. I was also a part of the 3 choirs on campus. I was featured in 2 choir CD's as a soloist in gospel songs. I was the music leader at church on campus as well, and received an award for my outstanding contribution. Also while attending college I bartended, where I also spent my time singing with the house band. I became a local favorite and the customers requested me by name!

I have also won several local contests. Some of these contests include passing through the first round in the Colgate Country Showdown and Nashville Star. I have also won contests elsewhere, such as at the Garland Opry.

Another place I use my talent is singing for weddings, family reunions and local sporting events with the National Anthem. I have sung at several weddings which consisted of singing songs by Shania Twain and JoDee Messina. Also, when my family gathers, it is a must that I sing for them! My biggest fans are my family!

I am currently invited to appear at the Nashville Nightlife dinner theater in Nashville, Tennessee. This will happen in late summer.

Overall, I am a very simple yet talented person. Born and raised in Texas, I grew up on a farm. The country roots go deep inside me and it shows when I sing and perform. My purpose in this world is best served on stage!
