After you’ve been in this business for a while, it feels funny writing up a bio. I mean really, what can be written down the length of this page, or this website, or this epk that hasn’t been written before? Kind of like songwriting, isn’t it? There are only so many chords and so many feelings to go around.
So what is it that makes any artist different from another? It’s the choice of which chord goes where so the instrument flatters the melody, which phrase or lyric completely takes the listener to that moment in time to feel that exact feeling. And in the live performance world, it’s how she walks onto the stage and takes over the audience with the intensity of her eyes and the width of her smile. It’s how she wears her guitar as if it’s an extension of herself, how she moves to the music as if it moves her.
Jennifer Gibson can take you anywhere you want to go as long as you are willing to let go. Close your eyes and drop yourself into her songs, her words, her voice. Let her take you to places of joy and sadness, mystery and revelation, lust and love.
