I heard Jennifer Haase ("rhymes with classy") at a homey book cafe on Staten Island called "Every Thing Goes". I could hardly believe what I was hearing: she's got Michelle Shocked's drive, can reach Phoebe Snow's aching plaintiveness - and she's a top-notch songwriter as well. The audience was amazed. She sold out all of her CDs. No kidding. What a special night, to have been there. She sang several of the songs on "Listening Chair".

"The Foundry"

Jennifer,
Thank you for playing for us. You are surely a class act. We have had a
lot of artists come through, but you really rank up with the best of them.
You are a true professional in the highest regard.
We loved it, and we had quite a few comments the next day about your music
from people who came in.
Thanks again, and I hope whenever you come back to Omaha that we can have
you again.
Thanks
Jeff

Bio

"Jennifer Haase is a unique and gifted songwriter with the voice of an angel. I highly recommend her." --Rosanne Cash

"You have a groovy voice and I LOVE this SONG! love, love, love" --actress Kirstie Alley, about song NEW PINK SWEATER

"This album is somewhere between Julie Miller and Aimee Mann....but Ms. Haase is clearly doing her own thing here." -- NoDepression.com, about album NO MORE INVITATIONS

Jennifer Haase (rhymes with "classy") is a New York (by way of Nebraska) singer/songwriter with a Jewel-Meets-Mary Chapin Carpenter folk-pop songwriting style.

NO MORE INVITATIONS, Haase's 2nd indie album release, is produced by multi-instrumentalist Mike Leslie (Joan Osborne, Rufus Wainwright), engineered by Emmy-nominee Robert L. Smith (GLEE, Ricki Lee Jones, Harry Connick, Jr.) and features special guest vocals from Rosanne Cash (on "Oneonta") and Stephen Kellogg (on "3,000 Miles").

NO MORE INVITATIONS was funded in part with generous donations from fans, to the tune of $15,000 raised. Haase conducted her own fundraiser, via her growing (and quite relentless) social media savvy. Record producer Mike Leslie said of Haase's fundraising success "You are truly a force, missy."

Haase's singing voice has appeared on several nationally aired television commercials, from cell phones to cosmetics. Along the tour path, she's proud to have played the legendary NYC club The Bitter End, London's The Troubadour and is thrilled to be invited to play Nashville's The Bluebird Cafe in November 2011.
