Bio

Parallel Lines, the sophomore CD from Jennifer Kravassi, has taken the eastern half of the U.S. by storm. In her progression from amateur songwriter to professional musician, it’s easy to see the transformation take place. What a marvelous collection of songs, with seemingly complete abandon to mark out any one genre. It begins with a catchy country- rock piece titled “Fear of Falling” that leads the listener into an upbeat hopeful mood, and follows with a more mainstream alternative song “Gone”. Full throttle there, everybody. She leads us through several more changes, from acoustic pop to full on jazz in the rest of this album, and has done a very good job at capturing each mood with intensity and a well crafted songwriting ability. It even polishes up at the end with a certain top 40 cross-over called “Tomorrow Is A Sunday”. Look out sports fans, we hear a new theme song in the works on this one. As a whole, three out of four stars on this one. A MUST have in your Indie collection! ~MI2n News, Chicago

If you’re wondering where Jennifer and her band have been performing for the last several years, it’s everywhere. She has played 3rd stage at the Lilith Fair in 1999, and recently brought the house down at last fall’s Newport Folk and Guitar Festival in Newport, Rhode Island. Accompanied by her endorsers at Oriskany Guitar Co., she played a solid 45 minute set for a very receptive audience. With an additional list of over 200 clubs from Pennsylvania to Key West, she is continuously wowing audiences with her variety of music and awesome pipes. You may have heard her a few times on 93.7 BOB FM in Norfolk, VA. on the popular show “Sunrise on Sundays”. Keep a close eye out, because this is a rising star on the move.

She is no stranger to the music industry, and laughs that she is “…musically illiterate and pleasantly dysfunctional in a cool kind of way”, but make no mistake, this woman holds a talent inside her that is a true gem to hear live. Backed by accomplished bassist John Comerford and the rest of her band, she is a force to be reckoned with.

“I’m having the time of my life out on stage, and writing some of the best work I’ve ever composed. This is really a magical time in my life…” says Kravassi. You can listen to her efforts and see a bit more history and press on her website www.jenniferkravassi.com
