Maione has a deft touch with both her lyrics and her music, and the voice is the sort most dream of having. I'm rather knocked out.

Maione's professional work stands out from the pack in its quality and appeal...This chick's got real (not manufactured) girl power!

NEW! Sexy. Very Sexy. I can feel a sunset pouring through a window bathing the bedroom in ocher light. I can feel heat penetrating every pore. Heated, honey-thick vocals inspired and filled by a sexy sense of confidence wash over the audience. I can't wait to see this performed live! The guitar work here will move anything with a heartbeat! Hands and hips will be travelling ...somewhere. Bring a date.

Bio
This singer/songwriter from Brooklyn is going contrary to her peers by making music rooted in emotion rather than fashion. Listening to her last CD,“The Average Girl”, it’s obvious that, like her first EP, Maione calls upon rock’s passion and power as her source of inspiration and determination, and not from trendy bubble gum pop.
Maione’s first CD as a solo artist started focusing on expressing feelings that were more personal. And it worked, because it received instantaneous positive press.
“In the mood to relax, sip a cup of tea and sink into your favorite chair? Then don’t forget to put Jennifer Maione on the changer. That is to say this chick’s got real (not manufactured) girl power.” NY Rock Street Beat.
“I decided to go in this more personal direction not only because it generated such positive feedback, but more importatantly because it felt very natural.” Then I just took that direction one step further with my last record Average Girl". This record is a diary that documents Maione’s personal journey, both as an artist and woman. “ I chose this title because on my journey as an artist I tried to remain down to earth, and it actually turned out to be exactly what makes me feel special.”
The sound of Maione’s music, though original and fresh, reflects a lifetime of listening to the greats of blues, folk, and rock, such as Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, Patti Smith, and Tom Petty. She considers these to be the sparks that ignited her desire to create music. Listening to her music it is obvious that Maione has been successful in holding on to these influences and making them her own. She continued on her path by creating songs that blend seventies rock instrumentation with contemporary production ideas, while lyrically conveying a step in her new direction as a grownup but still somewhat the average girl. The result is good, solid music with hooks you can remember after one listen
