"She delivers!...Jennifer McNutt is a very passionate performer. Her bluesy, rock, styling demands her audience musically, emotionally, and charismatically."

""Leaves You Wanting More...""

"After seeing Jennifer live in Hollywood, I decided she would be a great addition to a book I am working on. Jennifer's music is reminiscent of a master storyteller who draws you in, captivates your attention, and then leaves you wanting more. “

- Karen Gustafson

""Another Janis Joplin...""

"Having seen Jennifer perform live, I feel that as she keeps perfecting her music she could be another Janis Joplin, without all the personal drama (she'll put that into her songs").

Bio

Jennifer McNutt has played solo shows or with her band in California, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Montana, and Ohio. In March of ’06 she played for a large crowd when she donated her time to play for 2000 riders at the AIDS LIFECYCLE Benefit in Santa Maria, California.

Whether singing her own songs, which you will wake up singing, or performing songs by Carole King, Tori Amos, Gnarles Barkley, Dusty Springfield, CCR, The Fray, Jewel, Nirvana, Sheryl Crow or Gwen Stefani to name a few, she will keep you in your seat or make you dance even if you don’t.

“Her warm deep voice along with surprising unpredictable playful tones keeps you on the edge of your seat. She effortlessly plays her guitar and harmonica then right when you think you've got her figured out, which, if I may mention is nearly impossible, she suddenly cracks up and decides to flow to a new song. Usually such behavior would be unacceptable but you let her, because you want to see and hear her more...You want more and more and more. She has a unique look with a confidant almost nonchalant, intriguing character. Jennifer McNutt is one of a kind.” Greet Ramaekers Host/Celebrity Interviewer

She was born in a small suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio. Her mother left when she was 3 and she didn’t see or speak to her for 17 years and has little to no contact with her since. This had a huge impact on her life, creativity and she has written many beautiful songs. One simply titled "Mommy" & "Oh Sue" which will be on her new acoustic rock CD.

"November of 1997, just before Thanksgiving a dear friend of Jennifer's named Aaron Ziller was murdered at a party she and numerous close friends missed.

A number of songs were inspired by Aaron but her tribute to him has been called “Aaron’s Song” and she recently reworked it while living in LA with Pat Robinson, and it is now titled “It’s Nice To Know You’re Free.” It has been an important lesson about not taking life for granted and being positive even in the face of tragedy. It will also be on her upcoming CD.

The single “After Everyone” is now featured as the demo song on the new recording software developed by Contemporary Entertainment, Inc. and is being marketed to major record companies throughout the United States and abroad.

In 2002, Jennifer wrote an original theme song for a live comedy play premiering in Hollywood, CA. The single, “Nowhere To Run, Honey” is a whimsical and catchy melody that set the tone for the production. Jennifer has been asked to contributed original material for the upcoming movie soundtrack.

In 2005, “Leave This Place” written by Jennifer was used in the short entitled “Peace” starring Kurtwood Smith. (That 70’s Show) It has since been picked up for distribution.

In 2007 Jennifer licensed 10 original songs to be used on 3 shows to air on the Nickelodeon channel. "No Good To Shout", "James Dean", and "Nothing In Return", all written by Jennifer were chosen for the short film, Repressions by Adam Kargman.

She continues to develop her songwriting technique with colleagues such as accomplished songwriter/producer Pat Robinson, (CRY) who has worked with Laura Branigan, Gene Campbell, Joe Cocker, Jane Getz and Andrew Gold to name a few.

After living in Los Angeles for 5 years and Montana for almost 2 years, Jennifer decided to come back to Cincinnati in the fall of "07 to record her new CD and perform around the tri-state for a while with the Jennifer McNutt Band full of talented artists from Cincinnati. She will see you soon!
