"Unsung Hero"

"What separates this band from the mainstream drone of frat-rock bands, however, is the uncompromising and unique voice of singer Jim Hodson and his band of merry men." - Jason Howell

Feeling a bit camera shy

"Every band has influences, but we're not trying to sound like any one else," says Jennifer On Sunday frontman Jim Hodson when asked to describe their music. "We're just doing what we want to do." The band is dedicated to the proposition that music is meant to be heard, not filed away in some college radio trash bin after running its short underground life.

Jennifer On Sunday produces smooth, smart, guitar-driven rock with a meticulous combination of strong vocal melodies, rich guitar chords, and streaming bass lines. Based out of the Washington, DC area, the members actually met at Virginia Tech, deep in the heart of the Appalachian mountains in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Since the band formed, JOS has continued to grow in popularity, drawing crowds to venues all over Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland and the Carolinas.

UR Washington says, "Jim Hodson's voice seems to transcend sound itself." From Pitch Magazine, "To see Jennifer On Sunday live truly captures their essence," and The Collegiate Times says that JOS presents "a live show that must be seen to be truly appreciated."

JOS released their 3rd album, Paper Covers Rock, in January 2003. This record will be their greatest effort yet, with the band's best material. It will be deeper and stronger than previous recordings, and JOS is very excited to get the new songs in rotation.

Jennifer On Sunday is also working daily to expand the band's touring base to points north, south, and west of its current area. We hope you're ready for them!
