Bio

For Jennifer Swope, music is the driving force, and the determining factor in her life. Ever since the age of eleven she has been working on honing her voice and her talents into the package that she has to offer today. Jennifer is an up-and-coming artist trying to develop her music, talent, and image; and break into the Nashville indi scene.

Growing up in Elizabethtown Kentucky, Jennifer was somewhat of a local celebrity. She could be found playing at the local Café or singing for fundraisers and charities. With a large fan base of high school students and business professionals alike, she completely sold out her first headlining show and had fans lined up to the corner waiting to listen to her play; all at the age of sixteen. When she graduated high school she knew that Elizabethtown wasn’t big enough to fulfill her dreams. It was off to Nashville for Jennifer Swope.

Jennifer has been building towards a career in the music industry most of her life. She wrote her first song at 14, and quickly decided that it was time to learn to play the guitar. By 15 she was on the board of the Harding County Songwriters Association. By 17 she had over 30 original recordings of scratch tracks and demos and copyrights for all of her recorded material. At 20 years old she is on top of her game and develoqaping into a passionate young musician and artist.

With influences like Stevie Nicks, Patsy Cline, Janis Joplin, Melissa Etheridge and Patty Griffin, Jennifer sings and writes with great variety. There is one common theme in her influences, that is they are all strong women. This theme rings true in her own music. Jennifer’s insight, strength, and wisdom come through in her powerful poignant lyrics about love, loss, life, and growth.

“I think something that sets me apart is that I don’t sit down and write for an audience, I write for release and for myself, and know that people will connect, because the emotion is real”

Jennifer truly lives her music. She finds inspiration in life itself. Jennifer may be another young artist trying to find her way in Nashville, but she has the drive, the raw talent, and the youthful eagerness to make it there.
