Lyrics

Do Your Dream

Written By: Jennifer Youngdahl

What good is a dream if you don't do it? What good is a dream if you sleep through it? What good is the day if you don't meet it? What good is love if you just keep it? Give it away.

What good is a home if it is broken? What good is a heart if it's not open? What good is your word if you don't mean it? What good is the art if you can't see it? Follow the dream.

Don't let it slip away...

What good is the light if you see darkness? What good is concern if you are thoughtless? What good is the fire if you lack passion? What good is the plan without any action? Go to your dream. Go do your dream. Got to your dream. Go do your dream.

Don't let it slip away...

What good is the dream if you don't do it?

Freedom to Live in Harmony

(Free… dom.)
My eyes are blue
My skin is white
Don’t let this “body suit” hinder your sight

My violet soul
My heart of gold
Reflects back to you ‘cause that’s what you are too

Her eyes are black
Her skin like night
Don’t let her “body suit” hinder your sight

Her violet soul
Her heart of gold
Reflects back to you ‘cause that’s what you are too
God shining through

(Free…dom.)

Some sing the “OM”
Some “make” the cross
Some count their beads
Some think they’re lost

Some pray through dance
Some pray to win
Some prayer is chant
And so it is, Amen.

(Free….dom.)

Freedom to live in harmony
Freedom to be what we were meant to be
Have a dream. Carry through. That’s what freedom let’s us do.
Freedom of Religion. Freedom to Pray. Freedom to Discover… to Find Our Way. Freedom of Speech. Freedom to Choose. Freedom to Give, to Grieve, to Heal. Freedom to Be. Freedom!

Most of my performing has been at churches, motivational seminars and conferences. I usually open and close for the keynote speaker with 3-5 songs.

I performed at the Peace Conference in Oakland, Ca. in 2000 (sponsored by The Center for Attitudinal Healing) and I have also performed on the National Mall in D.C. for the first Million Mom March, also in 2000.
