Bio

Jenni Schick has a remarkable combination of formal music education, pop sensibility, killer performance instinct and more nervous pent-up energy than all of her idols and contemporaries combined. Whether belting out 4 sweat filled sets a night every week in the Washington DC area to “Kissing Steven Tyler and Making it to Hollywood” she’s completely driven to perform. Give it all, 110% every night, all night long.

She’s a true musician, a pop culture purest at heart and influenced by artists and styles that are all over the map. “The artists I listen to and the artists that influence me and my music are 2 completely different things” says Jenni. “It’s not just about the songs, it’s my love of Pop Culture, Music, Movies, Fashion that make up my ridiculously complicated muse”.

Recently Jenni decided to take the leap to capture her own songs and write new material for her debut release. She hooked up with Washington DC Rock Veterans Steve Augustine (Modern Yesterday, Smart Bomb) on Guitar, Mike Durham (The Reserves) on Bass and Scott Rudge (Yoko Says No) on Drums. They hunkered down to write and record the debut release with Augustine acting as Producer and Engineer and also secured the mixing services of the Award winning Lou Giordano (The Atari's, Goo Goo Dolls, Husker Du, Sugar, The Lemonheads) and mastered at Sterling Sound by UE Nastasi (AC/DC, Panic! at the Disco, Clutch, The National).

Jenni didn’t expect that her first original release would be a Ball’s to the Wall straight up rock and roll record. “I knew in my head what I wanted to sound like, and these veteran songwriters helped me take these images and ideas to another level”. “Day one we wrote 2 songs together, the process was way too easy and the songs just seemed to flow out of us”. The first Jenni Schick release contains 5 guitar fueled rock and roll songs that paint a picture of what it means to be loved, left behind and most importantly not to get screwed over in the end.

The Jenni Schick debut release is slated for release in May 2013 on CD, iTunes and other digital services with a series of showcase performances to follow throughout the remainder of 2013.
