Jenny Amlen – Many Hats
What happens when you can sing hard rock, pop, blues, R & B, folk, Americana, country, soul and even classical with equal abandon? You wear many hats. Produced in all its ragged glory by lean, mean guitarist Ed Howe and featuring a deceivingly dexterous rhythm section of bassist Tom Appel and Keith Foley on drums, this blistering, bare bones collection is the stuff that used to snag record deals for Bonnie Raitt, Melissa Etheridge, Maria Muldaur, and Rickie Lee Jones back in the day. Can there only be one Joss Stone in the marketplace? Choice cut: the hymnal “Watching Over You.” - Amplifier Magazine
Jenny Amlen opened the stage utilizing a 3-octave range with sheer vocal prowess. She immediately captivated the crowd with her sincerity and charisma on stage. The singer/songwriter born and raised in New York told stories about life on the city streets and her struggles in search to find her identity.
