Jenny Chamberlin

In the spring of 1959, as Castro took power, two Cuban families fled for sanctuary. Although they had never met in their homeland, their paths would soon intersect in the land of the free. This providential meeting of the families would lead to teenage love, engagement, a marriage, and eventually a daughter, named Jenny.

Florida born, New York raised, this talented new artist grew up laying her head where the legendary horseman lost his, in Sleepy Hollow. Seemingly losing her own head on occasion, she found herself in trouble and out of school more times than she cares to admit.

Spending a year with her grandparents in FL, while her parents were separated, she was introduced to church… four times a week! Following her parents re-union, she returned to her NY home, catching the city bus in search of a church home to match the one she left in FL.

During this season of searching, she found strength and purpose listening to an album of Christian songs, compiled by the daughter of the FL pastor. It was not only the music but also the time of prayer that followed that would lead to Jenny’s love for singing and her love for God.

The night before her 15th birthday, Jenny received what would turn out to be the greatest gift ever. However, this gift wasn’t found with cake and ice-cream, but rather at the foot of the Cross. This became the turning point in Jenny’s life.

Soon after, she joined the church choir, eventually blooming into a love of both songwriting and her future husband, Ryan Chamberlin. These loves would lead to the birth of four beautiful children and a notebook full of songs. With her children on her mind and her pen in hand, she now seeks to inspire and empower others, as she once was so inspired by a loving pair of grandparents and a simple recording.

Jenny’s debut project encapsulates her life and times with hints of hope, flavored with gospel, Latin, and Praise & Worship influences. Her hope is that her new CD will be your album of inspiration.
