Jenny LaJoye

Jenny LaJoye is a pop-folk singer/songwriter from Hastings, MI, where she and her five siblings were raised by two professional music conductors. She began violin lessons at age five and later developed a love for percussion, piano, and guitar. Between her parents' backgrounds in jazz and musical theater, her brother's career in folk music and blues, and her own classical training, Jenny's voice as a singer/songwriter was formed. 

Upon returning from a college semester with the Contemporary Music Center in Nashville, TN where she studied songwriting, performance, recording, and music business, Jenny released her first EP, “We’ve Been That Way Before,” which won the WYCE Jammie Award for Listener’s Choice, Album of the Year. During her last semester at Calvin College in 2015, she recorded and released her first full-length album, “Vapor.” 

Jenny is currently living in Denver, CO, working on her Masters at the Iliff School of Theology, and in the studio recording her second full-length album, "Altars," which is to be released in January 2018.
