Jenny Lea

Jenny Lea

 Nelson, British Columbia, CAN

Rock born, classically raised, jazz reformed, hip hop/indie folk saved. Jenny Lea is known for her raspy powerful voice + soulful originals.

Jenny's love for music was fostered as a child, as she grew up under the influence of four musical parents. She studied and competed with classical piano and theory as a child, and enjoyed vocal jazz in high school, but it wasn't until late 2010 that she began to think of music as more than just a hobby.

While backpacking Europe, Brazil, Australia, South East Asia, and Central America, she played throughout winning supportive fans and friends alike, affirming this would be her path.

Since 2011, Lea has been performing professionally at many venues in Vancouver, Whistler, Kelowna, and Sydney AUS.  Larger venues include Khatsahlano Festival in Vancouver, and most recently the main stage at the World Ski & Snowboard Festival in Whistler, BC.  She has had multiple interviews with The Pique Newsmagazine and a live radio interview/performance on Mountain FM in Whistler.

Jenny Lea is currently recording her EP in Kelowna, BC, as is featured on several other artists' recordings.  She will be studying music in the fall at Selkirk College in Nelson, BC.

EP to be released this summer:)
