Bio

My name is Jeremiah and I am a singer-songwriter based in New York City, traveling the world, living my dreams as an artist sharing my music and inspiration. Presently I am working on my new album but the process started like this.

I was rummaging through a box at my Mom's house in Upstate New York and came upon a tape. It read "my songs". Immediately I found something to play the tape. To my surprise, everything that I heard was exactly how I left it. I was flooded with memories of the recording sessions that created this tape. Now, these were not high tech recordings, but rather private sessions with my sisters boom-box and my notebook. I use to pretend I was sick so that I could stay home from school to write and record my songs. With one listen, I could recant every word to every song.

I called my best friend and said "I have the title of my new album.... Folktales of a Fatboy". He laughed and so did I.

Now I know you're wondering....why would he ever name his album that???

Growing up, my nickname was Fatboy. If you can remember those commercials "give it to Mikey, he'll eat it", well I was Mikey and then some. I loved to eat but I LOVED music. Although presently I am not a fatboy, it was that period in my life that shaped the stories of my music. When I was feeling bad about myself and the way I looked, music was there to help me. I was able to overcome what I felt and self image by simply loving myself and committing to change no matter how long the journey.

Certainly we can all relate to being a Fatboy. Do you ever think of the things in your life that weigh you down? We all work daily to overcome those very things and while Folktales of a Fatboy is my story, you will find your story there too.
