Jeremie Owen is a singer-songwriter that utilizes six strings, personal life stories, and transfers airwaves into emotionally riveting icons for listeners. Born in a one stop light city Olivia, Minnesota, Owen’s musical style has a striking resemblance of Bob Dylan, but is unique enough to withstand 10,000 people cheering at the Minnesota State Fair.
This accomplishment would drive Owen toward was an enduring career in the music industry. However, this was halted just like the King himself when Owen was deployed to Iraq in the ARMY. Even that did not stop Owen from performing. He kept playing guitar overseas and was inspired to write songs about survival, infidelity, love, and being away from home on his farm. “The exposure from everything got in my blood so subconsciously that everything influences my music,” said Owen as he describes in his new CD Minnesota Moonlight.
Owen is back in Minnesota and is actively picking up where he left off. Now he’s promoting his new CD, Minnesota Moonlight, which displays similarities to Dave Grohl’s from the Foo Fighers. Owen, like Grohl, performs guitar, bass, percussion, and vocals on his new CD.
Owen once performed in small towns such as Kasota and Mankato, MN. This then grew to performances overseas in Iraq, and over 10,000 people at Minnesota State Fair.
Now he’s set in motion again to tour at remote venues for the intellectual listener, where he can challenge his loyal audience with the test of time.
