"Jeremy Flynn Band" - EP (Recording)

The Jeremy Flynn Band is a unique blend of all types of backgrounds of music. Jeremy Flynn began playing guitar at the age of 15 and immediately took to it. He began to learn country music covers and within the first month of learning how to play basic chords, he was writing his own original songs. "I Immediately took to country music", Jeremy says, "it was a genre I was born and raised into. I remember going to my first concert when I was very young. It was a Brooks and Dunn show that my parents took me to. When I got to the show and saw all of the guitars and lights and excitement, I knew immediately it was what I wanted to do."

When Jeremy was a freshman in college he met another guitar player and they formed a local rock band called For the Day. The rock band took on such influences as: Foo Fighters, Switchfoot, The Goo Goo Dolls, and Lifehouse. The band played together for 2 years and headlined numerous outdoor festivals, played local clubs, and played numerous events on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas. Jeremy says, "For the Day was very unique. Not many bands were performing the style of music that we were. It is difficult to find a Switchfoot type of band on a local level, especially in Little Rock. We quickly learned that stage presence and energetic shows were just as important as hitting the song perfectly." For the Day began to gain popularity on a local level by getting many of their songs featured on 100.3 The Edge. The band began to attract Mercury Records A & R Reps. "We were playing a lot", Jeremy explains, "we got word that some record label reps had heard our stuff and became very interested. We were actually in a battle of the bands contest at Vino's the first time the reps heard us live. We got a phone call the next day saying they were interested and wanted to come check us out in the finals. They heard us in the finals and were wanting to hear our demo. Unfortunately our demo did not have very many new songs, it was about a year old. We went into the studio and cut a full-length album, but the timing was all wrong." The band moved on and eventually began to slow down.

Jeremy began to ponder on the idea of starting a country band. Jeremy states, "It was something I have always wanted to do, it was just a matter of getting the right people in the right places at the right time. I feel we have done that now." Jeremy recruiting fellow For the Day band member Jordan Anderson to play lead guitar. He also recruited long time friends Terrance Richardson and Craig Bowling for drums and bass. "I am more excited about our music now than I have ever been!" Jeremy goes on to say, "We are ready to hit this thing hard and hopefully make something of it. These guys aren't afraid to work and neither am I."

The Jeremy Flynn band consist of covers ranging from country to classic rock, mixed in with a new original country sound. "I would say most of our influences are around Jason Aldean with kind of a Keith Urban type of writing." Jeremy says, "We are hoping to provide those who come out to the show with an exciting experience and hopefully a few original songs they leave singing along with."
