Biography

Jeremy is a jazz influenced bass player from Lloydminster, SK. He is currently collaberating with a yet untitled modern progressive instrumental trio, aswell as working on solo bass arrangments.

Most of his experience is in rock trios. But as a jazz bassist tends to explore a wide harmonic spectrum typical of the genre, and applying it in a rock setting. He has and continues to recieve consistent praise at all his live shows for his mastery of the fretboard, and his ability to lead the Rhythm section.

Amoung his earlier influences include progressive metal acts such as: Dream Theater, Symphony X, Racer X, etc. These bands paved the way for much more diverse musical study. Delving into the classic progressive stylings of Rush, King Crimson, Frank Zappa, Yes, Pink Floyd, and more. Also in the same playlist are the fusion jazz elite: Weather Report, Return to Forever, Chick Corea Elektric Band, and Bruford to name a few. There are of course many highly influencial bass virtuoso's to list aswell: Steve Bailey, Jaco Pastorius, John Patitucci. Yet there are other instrumentalists that may be odd to find on a bass players list too. Keyboardists like Keith Emerson, and Jordan Rudess. Guitarists like John Mclaughlin, and Al Di Meola. And the list could go on.

Jeremy Schultz is the epitome of a well rounded bass player. A player that can make music and play a stage solo, or find a place for the bass in any genre or band.
